This was a very awesome, touching movie.

You, sir, rock. And you rock hard.

This is a very awesomely done flash movie - the fact you managed to tell a great story without any text or speech is a testament to that.

And the animation is done well, too! This is very much the kind of style that minimalists should study when making their own flash movies. Despite the lack of shading in most of the scenes, it still manages to look wonderful.

Anyway! Here's to hoping you continue making more flash movies... judging from the fact this is two years old...

I wanted to puke at the end, but...

This IS a hilarious flash. :D

Interesting note about this - you know how there's all those anti-sodomy laws in the U.S., right? People accredit it to anti-homosexualism, but sodomy is described as anal or oral sex, not JUST limited to same sex situations.

And I really haven't heard of anyone being jailed for the act of anal or oral sex, if it was an m/f situation that is...

Well, anyway, this was indeed a funny flash with a point. Keep rockin'!

I gotta say...

This. Is. Awesome.

Sometimes, the graphics for this movie seemed a little out of whack, but given the detail and content, I love it.

What an oldie but goodie! Make some more of this stuff!

I to the strip mall!

Hehheh... This wasn't all that bad!

I would probably work on the graphics a bit more, though. More detail, less usage of thick bold lines - Well, sometimes bold lines are good, but I think those lines were TOO bold, all around.

Also, try and use at least some shading in your stuff - even two-color shading would help improve teh eye candiez.

Anyways, this was a fun flash. Keep rollin'!

Nice trailer!

Sonic the swordsman, eh? Sonic meets Fighter! Heh heh.

Well, this is going to be quite interesting. Your trailer was good - it piqued my interest and had enough meat on its own to, in my opinion, be portal worthy. That's what trailers are all about!

I await the actual move. Good luck with it! :D

Eh... I didn't really find it funny, but...

Given the small download size, it's good. I kinda wish there was more to it, especially during the stoned ending, than just having SBC fly around in a rainbow sky.

As far as other comments, I'd suggest working on your backgrounds a bit more. Everything was pretty sparse and minimalistic. Even with this style of minimalism, which I'd compare to H*R... well, even H*R has a lot of detail in their scenery.

So, yeah. If you make some changes to this flash or plan on working on more, add some more crazy stuff in, and work on scenery. Thats all I've got.

Keep rockin!

Nice school project!

I like it! The characters were drawn fairly well, though I would have liked to have seen better backgrounds.

Still, this is a nice rendition from Lord of the Flies. Hope your project gets high marks.

Zeranix responds:

That's pretty much exactly what I thought about it too lol. Oh well, I was a vera vera sleepy and I'm a vera vera lazy lol... heh thanks for the review :)

Heh.

Uhhh ... Heat Man didn't happen to take any of my Aloe Vera, did he?

Anyways, not that bad. There's been a lot worse on NG, and this gave me a few chuckles.

Hm... Not too bad...

As far as fight scenes in sprites go, this wasn't that bad.

There's only two things I can say that really bug me.

One, is the use of selectable text fields in a Times Roman font. Not only that, but the fonts seemed to clip. If you were using a special font for the flash, I would suggest breaking it down into vector graphics (there's a way to do it in Flash - select any text you have, then go to Modify -> Break Apart, or just hit crtl+b) so it can be viewed on any computer without that font.

Second, is the noticable pause between events. Luigi charges forward, Mario jumps on his head, and then they stop for a few seconds. Then the action continues, and stops for a few seconds. It makes the action and flow of the movie uneven; try and remove those stops so the thing is more fluid.

Other than that, not a bad attempt. Keep going!

Nick-Gates responds:

Thanks! I'll Do That! (I was using a special font!)

SA-WEEEEEEEEEET!!

Very damn original! A clay stop animation in flash. I can appreciate the time and effort that went into making this. You get a 5 from me!

However, I do feel that Flash was not the best medium to choose for Burt. While yes, Burt's gonna get lots of exposure here (if he survives portal entry), the size of this movie is pretty nasty - which I assume can be attributed to the frames, which are all JPGs... the movie's music and sound effects sound decently compressed.

A XviD/DivX .avi or Quicktime .mov, however, would probably serve Burk better justice than a Flash movie.

I don't know if you made this originally as a movie file, and then exported to flash, but if you can find a site that accepts and showcases .avi or .mov files or whatever, for the love of GOD man, send Burk there! :D

Burk itself is an awesome, original movie. I was thoroughly amused; I just question using Flash as the display medium here.

He's aming for the gold! He's aiming! He's - OOOH! HE'S FALLEN INTO THE NAKED SINGULARITY!!
